Special Education Paraprofessional

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union Special Education Paraeducator 2024/25 School Year WSESU is seeking a full-time paraeducator for employment in Special Education at Brattleboro Are Middle School. Candidates must have experience working with adolescents with learning and social/emotional disabilities, the ability to work collaboratively with a team of providers, ability to use technology for instruction and communication, and capacity to implement intervention plans for students. This position is supervised by the special education teacher with coaching and support from related service providers and will require support of students’ personal care needs. Our team is searching for individuals who are self-starters and who can provide positive and nurturing support for students in the school environment. Successful candidates will have 2 years of experience working with children, an Associate’s degree in a related field, and the ability to use the Google platform. This position will follow the WSESU School Year calendar and is on a 191 day contract at Wage Grade 4 ($18.31 - $24.71 per hour). Among the projected duties for this position would be working 1:1 with several studnts during various parts of the school day.
