TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST (CAMPUS WIDE)
The Windham Southeast School District is looking to hire an Information Technology Support
Specialist to work at our Middle School, High School, and Career Center campus as part of our 4
person IT team. This is a full-time, calendar-year position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Manage and configure network components not limited to managed switches, firewalls,
managed wireless networks, network operating systems, especially Active Directory, and
telephony
● Configure and maintain user accounts on Microsoft Active Directory servers and the Google
Workspace for Education domain
● Troubleshoot common technology problems in digital learning environments
● Support and assist with the Mitel phone system
● Support and configure enterprise information systems, including PowerSchool, in
collaboration with administration and other staff
● Data management such as data importing, exporting, and report writing
● Collaborate with the Technology Director and Technology Coordinator to implement
cybersecurity best practices and training
● Maintain the technology infrastructure, including regular upkeep of student and staff devices
including chromebooks, PC and Mac laptop and desktop computers, projectors, touchscreen
displays, printers and copiers.
● Assist in hardware and software procurement
● Advise teachers and administrators on effective digital communication within the school
community, including websites and social media
● Help staff evaluate and select digital tools and resources that enhance teaching and learning
and are compatible with school infrastructure
● Assist with other tasks as needed/requested.
Working Conditions:
● The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following
physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger
dexterity. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking, and 20% standing. This job is
performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
