Overview
W.H, Braum Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Dairy Plant Production Supervisor for evenings. We have a 50 year reputation for quality products and service and would like the best of the best to join our team. The Production Supervisor ensures that the appropriate standard operating procedures are developed and maintained in all areas of the dairy plant. This individual will establish a positive work environment by inspiring others through strong leadership, vision and passion. Shift is 1:30PM - Midnight...4 days on 2 days off rotating schedule.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective communication between shifts and other departments by ensuring established communication methods regarding company performance and safety
- Responsible for the successful attainment of production objectives, implementation of policies, and most effective utilization of available resources
- Responsible for expense control, including shrink, labor and overhead costs by utilizing continuous improvement techniques
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous production supervisory experience in a high volume dairy manufacturing plant is required
- Must have in-depth knowledge and first hand plant management experience with industrial production processes in a ready-to-eat dairy product manufacturing plant
- Must understand good manufacturing practices, HAACP/HARPC, food safety programs, and have an in-depth knowledge of the PMO
- Must be able to plan, organize, and provide leadership necessary for achieving production goals while providing the highest quality products to our customers
- Must have the ability to monitor the production processes, make necessary adjustments in scheduling and/or improve production methods to achieve company goals
- Must stay current on dairy processes and techniques
- Formal knowledge of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer
