Job Description:
As an Optician, you will work closely with patients to ensure they find the right eyewear for both style and function. You will assist with frame styling, lens selection, and all other aspects of eyewear care. Your ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with glasses orders and repairs will be essential in this role. Excellent communication skills, strong customer service abilities, and a willingness to learn are key traits we're seeking in our next team member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with frame styling and lens selection to ensure the best fit for both style and optical needs.
- Measure patients for eyeglasses based on facial and eye measurements, as well as optical prescriptions.
- Prepare work orders for the optical laboratory and process payments.
- Dispense glasses to patients and make necessary adjustments to frames.
- Receive and verify inventory, ensuring the accuracy of finished orders.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues with glasses orders or repairs.
- Answer phones and assist doctors with patient needs as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the overall patient experience.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Motivated, positive, and energetic personality with a passion for customer service.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Great attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required.
