JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Safety Lead Supervisor (RSL Supervisor) is an integral part of the Company’s enterprise risk management efforts. Supports our company Value around We are Safe: The RSL Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing Regional Safety Leads. Supporting the Region to which they are assigned and providing support to other regions as needed. This role ensures that safety policies, practices, and programs are aligned and functional across all operations to minimize risk, protect employees, and ensure regulatory compliance. The Regional Safety Lead Supervisor will work closely with Regional Business Unit Leadership, Corporate Safety Manager, and field employees to advocate for employee safety and to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Program Delivery:
- Interacts with and influences local leadership in matters involving employee safety, risk assessment and compliance with applicable federal, state and local safety regulations.
- Supports, directs and evaluates the activities and performance of the Regional Safety Leads.
- Leads efforts to select, train and recognize Local Safety Representatives to help them support local safety committees, new employee onboarding initiatives and other local safety efforts.
- Utilize key leading and lagging safety metrics; to support leadership in identifying improvement opportunities.
- Leads efforts with staffing and onboarding for open Regional Safety Lead positions
- Assure Field and Facility Audit results drive action across all disciplines, offices and geographical regions.
- Support Business Development with proposal development at times; involve corporate safety when necessary.
Safety Culture and Training:
- Leads or participates in the development and delivery of key training programs, such as COOP onboarding, New Hire onboarding, Authorized User Programs and others in a way that builds trust and engagement.
- Uses needs assessments and gap analysis methodologies to identify and bring forth areas for improvement related to compliance or safety training.
- Help employees with a clear understanding of how Safety improvement impacts them, others, our clients, and other goals/objectives.
- Identify client concerns and communicate the concerns to the project team; work with project teams and others to resolve safety related issues.
- Actively recognizes employees for safety behaviors, through personal communication or by using established recognition program tools.
- Assists with the development of monthly training materials to support Safety Representatives with leading safety meetings.
Compliance, Risk Management, and Regulatory Matters
- Know and enforce OSHA and other federal, state and local standards as well as company safety polices for establishing a safe work environment on all projects.
- Works with Corporate Safety Manager and appropriate leadership to resolve any compliance concerns in a sustainable manner.
- Own the development and/or execution of regional and corporate safety programs and goals, examples include training programs, new audit tools, and new hazard assessment and planning tools.
- Oversee the management of safety audits and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked.
- Conduct PPE assessments; including respiratory fit testing and training when required
Incident Management:
- Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough analysis and implementation of corrective measures.
- Coaches Regional Safety Leads on complex investigations.
- Partner and communicate effectively with Corporate Safety Manager and Business Unit Leadership throughout the investigation and during the development of corrective actions.
- Creates well written and thorough reports following established processes.
- Effectively follow up on corrective actions and work through change resistance.
- Demonstrated desire to care for and serve people.
- Provide a clear example of safe attitudes and behaviors, coach others on opportunities for attitude and behavior change.
Reporting and Communication:
- Report on safety performance, metrics, and incidents to BU leadership team; including progress to recognize and celebrate, as well as gaps and issues that need to be addressed.
- Communicate safety policies, changes, and initiatives effectively to end users in a way that is clearly and easily understood.
- Oversee all reporting required of client safety databases, responses to client or industry pre-qualification requests or requests for proposals, and any other client requests.
- Works effectively with the Safety Director. Keeps them informed of any issues with the Regional Safety Leads performance.
- Regularly updates the Safety Director on any concerns, challenges, successes and/or opportunities related to safety at Braun Intertec.
Budget:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Regional Safety Leads regarding budget.
- Help develop and understand travel needs for the Regional Safety Lead and impact on budget.
- Contribute to review of spending related to PPE, training, recognition and client support.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging safety technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the Company’s safety performance.
- Lead efforts to innovate and enhance Company-wide safety processes and technologies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent four-year degree in a related field preferred.
Experience and/or Training: 8 plus years professional experience working as a safety professional; experience in the architectural, engineering, and construction industry preferred; 3 years in a safety leadership role preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), preferred or another Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) recognized certification is required or obtainable with 6 months of hire. Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record required.
Technology/Equipment: Proficient using Adobe DC Professional and Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint; able to access and successfully navigate other software platforms typical in the architectural, engineering, and construction industries (e.g., client safety databases).
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Essential: Hearing and vision (both correctable), continuous sitting or standing at desk or workstation, and other physical requirements typical of working on a computer and talking on a phone (65%-100% of the time worked); frequent walking, lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs., turning and twisting (30%-64% of the time worked); occasional reaching, lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs., and push/pull up to 10 lbs. (11%-29% of the time worked); stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, lifts or scaffolding (0-9% of the time worked).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work/Environment and Travel
- This position requires you to work in their designated Regional office 4 days per week and may work from a remote location one day per week when work conditions allow.
- The position is required to regularly travel to other Company offices and project sites.
- The office environment includes, using computer, telephone, other office equipment as needed to perform duties; frequent interruptions throughout day likely; project site visits can be outside in all weather conditions and/or tightly enclosed areas and can have uneven walking surfaces.
- Position requires offsite travel (locally and throughout United States), may include up to 20% overnight travel annually.

Compensation Range:
