What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Chemist - Concrete Science position at Braun Intertec?
Braun Intertec’s Concrete Science group is seeking a Principal Chemist interested in supporting clients’ needs on new and historic materials. This position will be located in Bloomington MN or Chicago IL.
Responsibilities :
- Strong understanding of Concrete and Cementitious Chemistry.
- Experience with wet chemistry techniques, XRF, XRD, TGA, FTIR.
- Mentor professionals on chemical analysis.
- Maintain quality standards in laboratory analysis.
- Consult with clients to solve problems with historic and new concrete materials.
- Prepare proposals for testing and consulting projects.
- Project-related responsibilities consist primarily of developing project scopes, coordinating laboratory work, establishing timelines, analyzing and understanding data, writing reports, and managing projects from the proposal stage to closing the project.
- Act as the primary author or reviewer of deliverables for projects or research.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.

Compensation Range : $105,300.00 - $157,900.00
