Job Description
We are hiring an Environmental Staff Scientist / Engineer with 0-5 years of experience in our San Antonio, Texas office. An Environmental Staff Engineer / Scientist works with project managers and colleagues to conduct and manage field work and reporting on time, on budget, while meeting or exceeding client expectations. You will contribute to the firm's success by :
- Collaborating closely with other members of the team, company, and clients.
- Rallying with the project team, keeping on track, and helping drive projects to completion. Communication with team members is essential to keep projects moving.
- Conducting and managing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Performing field work such as monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, advancing soil borings, and product gauging and recovery, etc.
- Oversight of subcontractors such as drillers and remediation contractors.
- Assisting with data tabulation and writing technical reports.
- Helping develop creative solutions for environmental problems to meet client needs and expectations.
- Building relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, and partners.
- Travel to local and regional project sites (up to 20% travel, based on project needs).
