Brauser Maimonides Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher/Coach to work with students in grades K-2. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young students through physical education while also coaching various athletic teams, including basketball and flag football for the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach physical education classes for grades K-2, focusing on developing motor skills, teamwork, and physical fitness.
- Coach athletic teams such as basketball and flag football, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote physical activity, health, and wellness.
- Work closely with students to ensure a fun, engaging, and supportive environment for learning and growth.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment during practices and games.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children (preferably in an educational or coaching setting).
- A passion for physical education and youth sports.
- Ability to coach and motivate children in a variety of sports, with a focus on basketball and flag football.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members.
- A background in teaching or coaching physical education is preferred, but not required.
