What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Brava Roof Tile?
Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for safety and efficiently moving material and products throughout the facility. This includes loading and unloading shipments, operating forklifts, or other equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team.
Qualities & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate industrial motorized equipment in an enclosed and tight work environment
- Loading and unloading of van trailers and flatbeds when needed
- Follow all established safety policies and procedures.
- Stage correct material in warehouse as instructed
- Removal of trash and regrind to appropriate areas as instructed.
- Cross training in Pack Out area to be able to help with the wrapping and staging of completed pallets ready for the Shipping department as well as auditing for accuracy when required
- Responsible for helping with house cleaning in Postproduction Area
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Fork truck experience preferred.
- Good understanding of safe practices
- Good organization and housekeeping skills
- Ability to proficiently and safely use fork truck to transport raw and finished product throughout the production facility.
Requirements:
- Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, carry, and manipulate various items.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
Schedule:
- Monday thru Friday 2 pm to 10 pm
- Every other Saturday
Pay:
- $17.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience
