Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate various trades and subcontractors. This role requires a hands-on approach and the capability to read and interpret schematics, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of project plans.
- Supervise construction site activities, including coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Oversee the work of carpenters, concrete forming specialists, and other tradespeople involved in the project.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Fabricate and restore structures as needed, applying expertise in hardscape and stucco work.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for specific tasks on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with carpentry, concrete forming, hardscape installation, and stucco application is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
