Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in various settings, including hospitals and commercial facilities. This role requires a commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for all occupants while adhering to established cleaning protocols and OSHA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Execute floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a hygienic environment.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste disposal.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with the environmental services team to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hospital cleaning standards and environmental services is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
