Responsibilities :
- Manage estimating processes and timelines to meet company objectives, both short and long-term
- Communicate effectively with operations teams and customers to define project scopes and analyze bid documents
- Develop conceptual engineering capabilities, including system selection, layout, and sizing
- Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors, and distribute support documents
- Estimate interim designs to track and confirm pricing, conducting necessary research for accuracy
- Negotiate pricing, address deficiencies, and build strong relationships with customers
- Provide leadership, direction, and training to assigned estimating team members
- Prepare and present completed estimating packages to company executives, senior management, and operations teams
- Follow up on bid projects and accurately forecast future awards and probabilities
- Collaborate with operations to transfer awarded projects and perform buyouts when necessary
