Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Movers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the loading and unloading of items, ensuring safe transportation, and providing excellent customer service during the moving process. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
- Perform heavy lifting and carry items safely to and from vehicles.
- Load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items onto trucks or vans.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed for efficient movement of goods.
- Drive commercial vehicles to transport items between locations.
- Ensure all items are secured properly during transportation to prevent damage.
- Assist in packing and unpacking items as required by clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the vehicle used for moving.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure a smooth moving process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in moving or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds or more) consistently throughout the day.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver or courier is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately.
