Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a hands-on approach to landscape maintenance, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and other green areas are well-kept and inviting.
Duties
- Perform regular lawn care activities, including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth.
- Maintain landscape features by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various groundskeeping tasks.
- Irrigate gardens and lawns to ensure proper hydration and health of plants.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential issues.
- Clear debris from walkways, parking lots, and other areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Assist in seasonal landscaping projects such as mulching, planting seasonal flowers, and winterizing gardens.
Skills
- Proficient in lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
- Knowledgeable in the use of hand tools (e.g., rakes, shovels) and power tools (e.g., lawnmowers, trimmers).
- Ability to irrigate effectively using various irrigation systems.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for gardening and groundskeeping.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
