Job Title : Senior Estimator
Location : Mount Vernon, NY
Position Overview : As a Senior Estimator, reporting to the Vice President of Estimating, you will play a critical role in developing comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of project bids, and working closely with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers. This position will involve analyzing contract proposals, drawings, and specifications, and working within a collaborative team environment.

Essential Duties :
- Develop estimates for large commercial construction projects, such as office buildings, retail centers, industrial facilities, and multi-family residential projects.
- Read, analyze, and interpret contract proposals, drawings, and specifications to ensure a full understanding of the project scope.
- Perform quantity take-offs for unit price and lump sum project bidding schedules, summarizing results in an Excel spreadsheet format.
- Analyze various scopes of work and produce comprehensive unit price estimates by creating production crews and including specific equipment and materials using HCSS or other estimating software.
- Work closely with subcontractors, material suppliers, and project owners during pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost proposals.
- Participate in joint venture team reviews for major projects when applicable.
- Assist with alternative delivery methods, such as design / build and CMAR, when needed.
