Brave Wings Therapy, a pediatric private practice located in Fairfield and Sparta, NJ, specializes in Speech, Feeding, Occupational, and ABA Therapy. We pride ourselves on hiring clinicians and administrative staff who work well together to provide exceptional care through every step of the therapeutic process.
We expanded significantly in 2023 and 2024 and hope to service many more children in our community. We are looking to hire a Part-time Medical Billing Specialist for our Billing Department, Monday thru Friday 10 AM - 3 PM (up to 20 hours per week), to support the Sparta, NJ team out of the Fairfield, NJ office location.
We are ideally looking for someone with limited experience that is interested in learning and growing within the field. Minimum one year experience in medical billing is required. Must possess a HS school diploma/GED, Coding/billing certification is highly preferred but not required.
This is a cross-trained position in all areas of the billing office. Exceptional attendance/punctuality is required. Must be a team player.
Major responsibilities include:
- Coding and posting charges
- Insurance verification
- Claim submissions
- Client calls, including fielding calls from clients regarding statements
- Analyze and maintain all client financial insurance files
- Follow-up with insurance companies and insurance adjusters to ensure timely and accurate payment
- Work denials and rejections to ensure payment of submitted claims
