Position Title : Production Operator
Location : Austin, TX
Shift : 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday, 9 : 30 PM - 06 : 00 AM)
Position Summary :
The Production Line and Material Handling Worker is responsible for performing a combination of production line and material handling tasks in a manufacturing environment. This role requires achieving production standards through manual operations and / or by operating equipment that requires average mechanical skills and aptitude. The individual will ensure accurate and timely documentation of work in batch records, log books, and other official documents, while adhering to safety, compliance, and company policies and practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Inspect components, materials, documents, and final products, either as part of the production process or off-line. Perform activities specified in batch records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Sample and evaluate product as per defined methods. Recognize action levels and notify area specialist and supervisor if product is out of limits.
- Perform and document lot changes, line clearances, production processes, and cleaning operations.
- Identify non-conforming products (rejects).
- Achieve established labor standards for respective tasks.
- Provide information and feedback on commodity and process issues. Ensure quality products are delivered to subsequent processes.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to coordinate activities, solve problems, and communicate effectively. Adapt to changes in a constructive manner.
- Participate in area improvements, cost reductions, and meetings.
- Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and plant policies / rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Evaluate process, product, and equipment performance based on prescribed procedures.
- Work with team members to optimize quality, cost, compliance, customer service, and safety.
- Perform other related duties as required, including working outside for material disposition.
