- Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Work with the Director of IT in developing and implementing the company’s computer infrastructure to ensure service is continuous for company staff
- Reviewing, analyzing and delivering data information to present regular reports to the Director of IT concerning compliance and overall performance of the service desk
- Discovery and delivery of new service desk technology approaches and implementing next generation solutions to ensure customer service is always met
- Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
- Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
- Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
- Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
- Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
- Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
- Managing the daily operation and changes to the Service Desk and its strategy
- Conducting a continuous assessment of current service desk practices, systems, and identifying areas for improvement
- Providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff, building a positive working environment, and partnering with the Information Security Officer to promote team performance
- Assist with daily operations of IT, assist with Security operations, drive secondary departmental projects, and perform other duties as assigned
- Education and/or ExperienceHigh School graduate or equivalent required. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in information technology in computer science or related subject is preferred.
- 2-4 years of previous IT work experience
- Valid State Driver’s License and a driving record/MVR that is insurable by company auto carrier’s standards/requirements
