Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web development principles and experience in creating and managing WordPress sites. This role involves collaborating with designers and other developers to build user-friendly and efficient websites that meet business needs. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage 4 eCommerce websites under the direction of the Senior Web Developer.
- Utilize Elementor, Custom Post Type, ACF, and other popular plugins to create and update various areas of company websites.
- Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL to support both front-end and back-end functionalities.
- Manage web hosting, DNS, and server configurations, and ensure uptime and security.
- Maintain a schedule of updates, backups, and other housecleaning items performed at regular intervals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues for both staff and customers.
- Provide IT Technical Support when needed for staff (Hardware and software)
Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, Marketing, or similar field(s)
OR
- 3-5 years experience working with WordPress, coding, design, etc. in a marketing capacity AND ability to troubleshoot web-related technical issues logically and speedily.
Candidates must also provide a portfolio and/or examples of their work we can use to determine if you're a good fit.
Must have skills (We need you to know this on day one)
- WordPress.org (Wordpress.com is fine, but we prefer .org)
- WooCommerce (Or other eCommerce software (BigCommerce, Shopify, etc.)
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL
- VisualStudio/vscode, GitHub, Docker, Kinsta
- DNS, Cloudflare, etc.
- Elementor, Figma (Or similar software)
- ACF and other popular plugins
- Custom WordPress plugins
- Troubleshoot technical issues
Nice to have skills (We will train for this if you are lacking)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
- Canva, AdobeXD, etc.
- CallTrackingMetrics (Or similar software)
- MailChimp (Or Similar software)
- Google WorkSpace (Gsuite), Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, etc.
- Meta suite of products (Facebook, Instagram, Meta Business, etc.)
- SpeedDigital and/or DealerAccelerate (Or similar automotive CRM)
- FileZilla or FTP experience
This position is in-person only. Ideal candidates will live in the Madisonville, TX area, within a 50-mile radius, or be able to reliably commute to the office every day.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
