SUMMARY OF SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT - GEOTECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the project trade Superintendents within assigned region performing all types of general contracting work; including specialty foundations, concrete, bridge/structures, shoring, excavation, drainage and utilities.
• Oversees the hiring, scheduling, training, evaluation, and safe performance of craft employees
• Conduct daily Tool Box Talks, JSA's, and weekly safety inspections of the overall site
• Address safety violations on-site immediately
• Work with the General Superintendent to coordinate the schedules of operational employees and equipment within the region
• Process timesheets for employees and oversees/coordinates the hiring/movement schedules of operational employees and equipment within the region assigned
• Helps develop schedules/work plans and productions during the bidding process as well as develop and monitor work plans and productions in the field after project award
• Makes periodic site visits to ensure compliance with safety plans, work plans and project specifications and to monitor the performance of craft employees
• Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT - GEOTECHNICAL:

• 10 years of geotechnical construction experience
• Experience managing several geotechnical construction projects, simultaneously or a large complex geotechnical project with multiple trades and numerous craft persons a must
• Additional experience with federal/state/DOT contracts, specifications, reports and records is required
• Experience with trade supervision, including performance assessments is required
• OSHA 30 hour certification is required
• Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
• Experience with hiring and assisting in training of union trades and supervision

SAFETY

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
