What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology and Data Coodinator position at BRAZORIA COUNTY H.S.?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Technology and Data Coordinator will be responsible for a broad range of duties that includes but not limited to all aspects of the technology infrastructure, supporting end-users with training and technical assistance, supporting the telecommunication system, ensuring an up-to-date inventory of BCHS electronic equipment and coordinating ongoing technology projects. This position is also responsible for managing and maintaining BCHS social media platforms and website.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Have working knowledge of all BCH’s technology equipment.
- Assess, support and offer assistance to computer users. This may involve training via one on one, email or on the phone. Ensure staff know how to use the equipment.
- Ensure all company hardware is working appropriately. When electronic equipment is not in working condition and unable to address take the lead in discussing with Business Operation Department.
- Monthly visit campuses to monitor, inspect and follow up with all hardware and usage.
- Maintain and update the internet and ensure staff have a working knowledge and usage of internet.
- Oversee all social media accounts, engaging with the community, and responding professionally to interactions.
- Develop original, engaging content for various social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and text.
- Maintain BCHS’s website and ensure it stays up to date with relevant program information and communications.
- Stay abreast of social media trends and best practices, adapting strategies to maximize effectiveness.
- Develop clear and concise content on BCHS’s services via company website.
- Ensure electronic equipment inventory is maintained and up to date.
- Prior to any all staff trainings at the Brazoria Campus ensure all equipment is in working order. Maintain up to date the training box that includes all training equipment. Establish a system for staff to check in and out the box.
- Maintains reporting log of all electronic equipment.
- Provide training and technical assistance with program service delivery activities.
- Communicate areas of concern or accomplishments with supervisor.
- Create and update forms, manuals (such as Child Plus), and policies within those areas of responsibility, as needed.
- Data management will include but not limited to monthly campus training needs, trainings, reporting log, annual BCHS report, annual Program Information Report (PIR data) and any other assigned data management requests.
- Assist in other content areas and program activities as needed.
- Work in a friendly respectful and open relationship with staff at all times.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Brazoria County Head Start’s (BCHS) mission, goals, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Head Start’s Performance Standards, Early Learning Outcomes, and other regulatory requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with staff to implement services that meet the needs of children and their families assigned to their respective campuses.
- Demonstrate on-going personal and professional growth and development to meet program and regulatory requirements.
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training as scheduled.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, degree in technology or related field preferred.
- Two (2) or more years’ technology experience in utilizing a variety of software application and electronic equipment.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (FB, Instagram, Messenger, LinkedIn, trends, and best practices).
- Proficiency in graphic design tools and software a plus.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate with employees/visitors/vendors.
The work environment is that which is typical of an office setting.
