What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time / Airport position at Brazoria County?
Under general supervision, provides various maintenance and customer service duties to users of the airport, including pilots, passengers, vendors, visitors and the general public.
- Daily Airport operations: trash pickup, maintenance, cleaning, mowing and basic repairs of County facilities and grounds.
- Uses a lawn mower, sod cutters, and other tools to trim grass and edge lawn areas.
- Works outdoors in existing weather to assist with aircraft and passenger operations.
- Other duties may also be assigned by the Airport Dept. senior staff.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.;
- Employee must have a valid Texas driver’s license, and provide transportation to the airport. HQ in Angleton to report for daily work assignments.
- Experience using lawn care equipment preferred (e.g., lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, weed eaters)
- Employee must be motivated and reliable, willing to learn and work in a team environment to help keep vital airport equipment functional and maintained.
- Must be able to represent the department to both external and internal customers with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Must comply with all Brazoria County policies such as a uniform dress code, and be able to pass county background check and drug test.
