General Summary:
Under general supervision of the Senior Systems Analyst, the Applications Administrator will act as the primary system administrator for assigned applications, including Oracle ERP.

What You Will Do:
- Administer assigned applications, including installing, configuring, updating, patching, and upgrading applications, and managing user access and permissions
- Act as the escalation point for in-depth and complex application issues related to assigned applications
- Research, propose, and implement enhancements that improve the reliability, available features, and performance of assigned applications
- Become familiar with new applications, technologies, and processes as they relate to user needs
- Identify integration opportunities as knowledge of the County’s major applications and as general knowledge of the County’s business processes increases
- Collaborate with users to identify needs and gather requirements for customizations pertaining to assigned applications
- Provide consistent and reliable support to the users through training and documentation for optimal use of the application
- Evaluate, test, and apply updates and patches to assigned applications on a scheduled basis
- Other Duties as assigned
Supervision
This is a non-supervisory position. You will receive general instruction, task assignment and prioritization, and periodic employee performance evaluations from the Senior Systems Analyst.
Education
Required: Associates in a computer science or related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Business Administration, Database Administration or related field.
Experience
Required: One (1) year of work experience in an Information Technology Support role, preferably software support
Preferred: Two (2) years of related work experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Systems Administrator, or related role.
