District Administrative Assistant
Brazos Electric is a transmission and distribution cooperative whose members' service territory extends across 68 counties from the Texas Panhandle to Houston. Organized in 1941, Brazos Electric was the first cooperative formed in the Lone Star state for the purpose of generating and supplying electrical power. Today, Brazos Electric provides wholesale power delivery services for its 16 member-owner distribution cooperatives. Owned by its member cooperatives, the Brazos Electric board of directors is comprised of one representative from each of these 16 members.

Brazos Electric Power Cooperative is seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy supporting teams, managing multiple administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations? If so, we want YOU to join our team as a District Administrative Assistant!
In this role, you'll be the backbone of the Northern District, located in Tolar, TX. You will be providing essential administrative support to district personnel. Your expertise will help keep operations running efficiently, ensuring seamless communication, file management, and coordination of key administrative functions.
What You’ll Do:
Administrative Support
Compose, prepare, and distribute routine communications, reports, and requisitions.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, and route reports such as expense, time, and mileage records.
Answer and route phone calls to appropriate personnel.
Enter Emergency Work Orders and other data into our system.
Maintain office supplies, ensuring the district is well-equipped for daily operations.
Coordinate facility maintenance, including cleaning services and infrastructure upkeep.
Personnel & Payroll Assistance
Process personnel forms for new and existing employees. Assist with payroll-related forms, salary progression records, and required DOT physicals.
Support the Safety Department in completing Workers’ Compensation and accident reports.
Maintain and distribute safety gear for district personnel.
Assist Human Resources with interview scheduling, lodging, and accommodations.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding personnel matters.

Maintain an organized filing system for district correspondence and documentation.

What You’ll Bring
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least three (3) years of administrative experience in a professional setting.
Skills & Qualities:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to efficiency.
