Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support clients with dementia care by implementing appropriate strategies to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes in client conditions.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in compliance with organizational policies.
Skills
- Previous experience as a caregiver, CNA, or similar role preferred but not required.
- A compassionate, patient, and dependable nature.
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
- Experience in dementia care techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
