What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Brazos Masonry, Inc.?
Full-time CAD operator to draw shop drawings for large-scale commercial masonry firm. This position requires a high level of familiarity with appropriate software (AutoCAD, Revit, or others; we have no preference) Masonry and/or construction experience is preferred, but is not necessarily required. This position will generate shop drawings for masonry reinforcing, masonry units (brick and block), and stone projects. Required skills include:
- At least 3 years of CAD experience
- Ability to read/understand commercial construction blueprints & specifications
- Basic computer skills (email, file manipulation, etc.)
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use and manipulate Excel spreadsheets, including simple functions
- Solid communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Type at least 30 wpm
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
Skills that will increase consideration, but are not required:
- College education (any level), that specifically relates to this job
- Experience in masonry construction
- Experience in any construction field

- Starting salary commensurate with experience between $52,000 and $65,000/ year
