Brief Description

The purpose of this position is to perform complex hydrologic, modeling, and water resources engineering studies for the Brazos River Authority (BRA). This is accomplished by conducting computer modeling of water resources applications; analyzing hydrologic engineering studies; and providing engineering oversight. Other responsibilities include managing various projects as part of a team; directing reservoir and flood operations; and any other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum eight years' experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer's License
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional Certification and Certified Floodplain Manager

  • Master of Science (M.Sc.) - A postgraduate Master of Science degree is awarded by universities for successful completion of studies related to technology, engineering, hydrology, statistics, environmental science, natural resource management, healthcare, and social sciences, in addition to the traditional sciences.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $92,959.30 to $120,847.09 annual salary. This is an exempt position.

BRAZOS RIVER AUTHORITY, EOE: The BRA was created by the Texas Legislature in 1929 and exists to develop, manage, and protect the water resources of the Brazos River Basin. Today, BRA's staff develops and distributes water supplies, provides water and wastewater treatment, monitors water quality, and pursues water conservation through public education programs.
