What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director - Palace Employment Shelter position at BRC - Bowery Residents' Committee, Inc.?
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting Program Director in management of day-to-day operations of the facility. Supervision of clinical staff, auditing of clinical charts, training of staff in clinical interventions and techniques. Supervision of operational staff, training and support as needed. Ensure compliance with DHS, OTDA and NYFD mandates. Outreach into community to expand network of referral services. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Monday - Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
LMSW or related masters/ license preferred. At least two years experience in clinical and administrative supervision preferred. Significant experience working with the homeless population, specifically long-term stay. Knowledge of NYC housing opportunities. Demonstrable writing, communication and group facilitation skills. Computer proficiency required. Must have the ability to work in a high stress/ high volume environment, while maintaining open communications with the other components of treatment and operational teams. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.
- Vaccination preferred but not required.
