Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Equipment Operator to join our team.
The Lead Operator plays a crucial role in oversight for job sites, managing equipment crews, coordinating with the Lead Groundman to ensure projects stay on schedule, and maintaining safety standards of the company. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve goals. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of operational procedures and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Be a liaison between project contractors and management team
- Work in conjunction with the Lead Groundman and Office Manager to keep alterations and progress up to date
- Manage and supervise any needed equipment crews
- Ensures all crews are following standards
- Assist in scheduling and client communications
- Receive, execute, and manage any needed changes to daily schedules
Requirements
- Prior team management experience
- Previous experience in the excavation industry
- Well-developed communication skills
- Client/vendor relations experience
- Ability to adapt and communicate changes within the company systems
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
- Be a self-starter and motivated to work
- Must be dependable and responsible
- Have own transportation
- construction plan/map comprehension
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
