What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation and Activities Coordinator position at BRC Mental Health Serivices?
BRC Mental Health Services/Boise Residential Care is hiring a fulltime Mental Health Services Transportation and Activities Assistant to join us in creating a new type of housing and mental health service all in one program for those dealing with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI). We need someone who is passionate about generating creative ideas to help clients maintain stable environments and transition into the community.
The Transportation and Activities Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator and Office Manager with various office duties and transporting residents in a 15-passenger van from the 2 group homes to day treatment and activities and events several times a day. Shifts will be Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Job Functions and Requirements:
- Coordinate, organize, audit and actively engage with clients in activities, games, TV shows, movies, music, arts and crafts, etc.
- Assists in the office with completing any paperwork and various tasks needed for the agency.
- Submits billing for their transportation time through the proper Medicaid provider.
- Transports clients to and from the agency to the houses.
- Assists with scheduling clinical appointments.
- Effectively communicate and interacts with residents and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Ensure a safe, reliable method of transportation to our residents. May need to light assist clients in and out of the van.
- Help load/unload packages from vehicles (bags, boxes, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 18 years of age
- Be able to pass state and/or federal background check
- Active ID Driver's License
- Good Driving Record
- Be able to pass drug test
- Computer and technology skills
