DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor building entrance, make rounds to ensure security of premises, enter data into log book and answer phones. Light clerical work and filing. Communicate with residents regarding passes for visitors, sign up sheets for activities, and groups. Note incidents in log book, as well as email with daily / nightly reports to staff. Attend staff meetings and staff trainings. Interface with EMS, police, and hospitals. Learn fire response system and obtain Certificate of Fitness from FDNY. Provide emergency first aid / CPR and / or NARCAN assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
HS diploma or GED required. Good reading, writing and verbal skills. Basic computer literacy required. Experience with homeless population and crisis intervention preferred. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION :
Opened in April 2018, the 135-unit The Apartments at Landing Road is a pilot program of BRC's Homestretch model an innovative solution utilizing surplus shelter income to subsidize affordable housing for extremely low-income individuals. The program offers 111 studios for formally homeless single adults for less than $500 per month. The remaining 24 units, funded by the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, are provided at 50% AMI (7 units) and 60% AMI (17 units) through lottery. All residents at The Apartments at Landing Road have access to BRC's Horizons Workforce Development Program.
