Job Summary
Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Special Education and Student Services, the Mental Health Therapist (MHT) is responsible for delivering clinical services to assigned students addressing their mental health needs. The MHT will also work collaboratively with school staff to ensure they are equipped to support students' social-emotional needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Education, Experience, Licenses, and Other Requirements :
- Minimum of three years of successful counseling experience
- Mental Health Therapist : Registered Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor / Psychologist preferred;
- Ability to provide clinical supervision preferred;
- Employment eligibility that may include fingerprints, TB / Risk Assessment and / or other employment clearance;
- Must have valid California driver's license and automobile available for use;
- Must be willing to attend evening, night, and weekend meetings and events;
- Working with exceptional children, assessment and counseling, desired;
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish is preferred.
