Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with a menu.
- Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
- Answer phone calls promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist guests with any special requests or needs, providing help as necessary to enhance their experience.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for managing reservations and orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of customer service are met consistently.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff alike.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, particularly POS.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent guest services in a hotel or restaurant setting are essential.
