Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your ability to manage time efficiently and work collaboratively with kitchen staff will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the restaurant's point-of-sale system, such as OpenTable.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to effectively assist guests.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and processing payments.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and safety standards.
- Experience with bussing tables and assisting fellow staff members as needed.
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and drive sales.
