Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance professional to oversee maintenance operations within our bakery facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and fabrication. This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal performance of equipment and machinery, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead all electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain Facility and grounds in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., California state requirements, FDA, Building Code, OC Health Department)
- Assists maintenance technicians in diagnosing machinery and equipment malfunctions.
- Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- Requisitions and maintains a supply of spare parts.
- Works and interacts as the spokesperson for outside services, parts procurement, and installation of equipment.
- Coordinates repairs with production schedules, estimating hours requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders for team members and assigns duties.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Enforces a safe workplace by supervising all tasks performed in accordance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, Food Safety, Lock-out/Tag-out safety rules, codes policies, and regulations.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and Preventive Maintenance
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Analyzes and resolves technical problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Maintains time and production records.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-year experience in a food manufacturing plant environment..
- Strong mechanical skills, to include a working understanding of plumbing and electrical issues sufficient to make repairs and oversee vendors making large repairs.
- Must have a strong industrial electrical knowledge in motor control, VFD, and PLCs.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills with a variety of levels within and external to a company.
- Possesses or can acquire a forklift license.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance
- Strong understanding of schematics and electrical systems
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and welding techniques
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Excellent communication skills in English and customer service experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
