The Product Designer is part of a team of product designers to create best-in-class, customer-facing, digital product experiences. This position requires growing User Experience and Human Factors design expertise, business perspective, and awareness of how technology integrates to deliver a digital product. They help to design and build products that transform the way consumers pay for their purchases and retailers grow their businesses, launching features that generate measurable business impact.

$87,900.00 - $159,200.00

California: $101,000.00 - $198,900.00
Colorado: $87,900.00 - $167,100.00
New York: $96,600.00 - $198,900.00
Washington: $92,200.00 - $183,000.00
Maryland: $92,200.00 - $175,100.00
Washington DC: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00
Illinois: $87,900.00 - $175,100.00
New Jersey: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00
The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.

Essential Job Functions
- Produce top-notch work that injects usability and delight into the user experience and continue to push the boundaries of modern UX. - (30%)
- Create exemplary prototypes and experiences, both alone and with other designers and key stakeholders, while balancing user needs, constraints of technology, brand values, and KPIs. - (25%)
- Collaborate closely with our user researcher in discovering user pain points and problems, and solve them using all available UX methodologies and tools. - (20%)
- Apply critical thinking to problem solve through design, testing assumptions and those on the team in order to push beyond the status quo. - (15%)
- Actively collaborate with engineers, QA specialists, product managers, content strategists, and UX research on product strategy and execution. - (10%)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Centered Design, Product Design or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
- 2 years experience as a product designer with a documented body of work that demonstrates your end-to-end process and how research, data and a design thinking approach was used to solve problems and uncover opportunities.
- 1 years experience using design-related tools like Figma, Adobe CC, Invision, etc.
- Experience as part of a high-performing remote/distributed team environment.
- Working knowledge in Agile principles and methodology.
- Experience with accessibility standards.
- Experience working on both B2B and B2C products, and experience in Fin-Tech or Financial Services.
