The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager ensures that data is managed, processed, and utilized efficiently and securely throughout its lifecycle.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee managing solutions to acquire and integrate data from various sources to govern the practices of the data management lifecycle. Oversee the processes for collecting, cleansing, and validating data before it is integrated into the Data Lifecycle systems. This may involve working with external vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless data integration. - (20%)
- Implement solutions to protect data from unauthorized access, breaches, and other threats. Partner with platform owners, Information Security, and many other stakeholders to govern the Data Discovery and classification of data through third party tools to support security and privacy policies and standards. Requires quarterly reporting of KPI and KRI metrics for closure of remediation progress. - (20%)
- Work with executives, IT departments, compliance officers, Data governance, privacy and business units to understand their data needs and align data management practices with organizational objectives. Building strong relationships with stakeholders is key to driving data initiatives. Effective collaboration with stakeholders across the organization is essential. - (20%)
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data, from creation to disposal. This includes managing data storage solutions, archiving policies, and data retention schedules. Ensure that data is retained for the appropriate duration and disposed of securely is crucial for compliance and risk management. - (15%)
- Experience in developing data lifecycle strategies and roadmaps. Design and implement data lifecycle solutions that align with the organization's goals. This includes selecting appropriate technologies and platforms for data storage, data management, and data protection. Ensure that the solutions are scalable and flexible for accommodating future growth and changes in data management needs. - (10%)
- Lead and develop a team of data professionals (onshore and offshore) as a core responsibility. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This involves setting performance goals, conductive evaluations, and identifying opportunities for professional growth. - (10%)
- Plays a crucial role in enforcing data governance policies, practices and standards for record management, Master Data Management and/or data protection. This involves developing standards and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with various departments to implement these policies and monitor adherence. - (5%)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8 years of experience working in Data management, Master Data Management and/or Reference Data Management.
- 8 years of experience working in the financial services industry.
- 5 years of experience working in Data architecture, Data Analytics, or equivalent data field as individual contributor.
- 5 years of experience leading a team of people.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business (Data specific degree), computer science, engineering, or information technology; or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications in Data Lifecycle Management
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP from DAMA Internal
- Certified Information Management processional (CIMP) in Data Governance
- Certifications focused on specifical aspects of data quality management or data archiving
- 12 years of experience working in Master Data Management, Record Management, and/or Data Protection.
