What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Breaking Barriers Therapy Services?
This role is tentatively scheduled from 12/noon - 7:00pm M-F.
Join a team of enthusiastic, collaborative, passionate professionals dedicated to improving quality of life for individuals with autism and/or behavioral challenges. The behavior technician works directly with children in home and clinic settings, providing behavioral support and running programs with behavior analyst oversight.
While this is an Entry Level position, our Minimum Qualifications include:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age
- Can pass a background check
- Enthusiastic, ready to learn
- Enjoy children, understand how to play and get on a child’s level
- Dependable, genuine, self-motivated, has integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working toward/has a degree or career in psychology, social work, education, or related field
- Experience working with children
- Experience as a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support to children with behavioral health needs.
- Assist in implementing care plans and behavioral therapy techniques under supervision.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collect data on patient progress and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a supportive environment for children with developmental disabilities.
- Engage in teaching and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
