BreakPoint Labs is looking for a Software Engineer with 3 years of experience who has a strong foundation in software development and a passion for learning new technologies in an ever-changing industry. This role requires someone who can work independently while knowing when to reach out for support. The ideal candidate will primarily work with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, AWS, GitLab, and Docker, but should be open to exploring and adapting to emerging technologies and handling unique technical challenges as they arise.
BreakPoint Labs needs someone proactive, curious, and eager to grow, with the ability to tackle both structured projects and odd-end tasks.
The position is remote but it is preferred that the Candidate live within either the National Capital Region, Dayton, OH, or Vicksburg, MS.

- Collaborate with other developers and engineers to develop and support applications written in Ruby.
- Troubleshoot software issues and develop solutions.
- Draft and maintain technical documentation.
- Package application for deployment using Docker.
- Apply knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- 3 years of experience in the development, deployment, operation, and maintenance of software applications.
- 1 year of experience writing applications with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, AWS, GitLab, and Docker.
- Security Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA]
- If the Ideal Candidate does not possess the Security CE, they will need to have the ability to obtain the Security Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA] within the first 90 days of employment
