What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Associate position at Breakthrough Public Schools?
Breakthrough Public Schools is seeking a flexible, highly collaborative, detail-oriented Operations Associate to join the school Operations team. School Operations teams focus on creating efficiency within the school’s processes and procedures, curating a warm and welcoming environment for all stakeholders, and removing operational barriers from instructional staff so they may focus on student achievement. The Operations Associate will rotate throughout all five BPS campuses and report to the Managing Director of Operations.

- At least 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and G-Suite (Docs, Slides, etc.)
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Strong word processing and grammar skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- High level of critical thinking
- Openness to feedback
- Willingness to support a variety of stakeholders, including both school- and network-based staff, families, and students
Operations Associate Position
The Operations Associate supports standardized and simplified operational practices across all schools in concert with the Managing Director of Operations and School Operations Support Specialist. They will support School Operations with clerical, administrative, and operational responsibilities. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- When applicable, supporting school participation in fresh fruit and vegetable programs
- Assisting in the review of monthly food order and claim data to help identify trends and potential areas of concern
- Supporting in ensuring that all campuses have mandatory food service compliance signage in required areas
- Aiding the execution of compliance requirements with the Ohio Department of Education immunization requirements
- Supporting in ensuring that all campuses have emergency signage posted as needed
- Providing assistance in the enrollment of scholars in Identimetrics system for attendance
- Supporting Front Offices when needed
- Serving as a fully engaged member of the BPS team
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of office experience required (school office experience preferred)
