About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with expertise in child and adolescent therapy to join our team on a contract, onsite basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and their families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to children and adolescents using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measure progress using clinical assessment tools.
- Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation and submit session invoices as required.
- Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary partners, including participation in team meetings and case consultations.
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Maintain ethical standards and comply with all state licensure requirements throughout the contract period.
- Attend regular meetings with program leadership and participate in continuing education as required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Active, independent clinical license (LCMHC, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) in the state of practice.
- Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of trauma, child development, crisis intervention, and psychotherapeutic techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining ethical documentation and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with abuse populations and trauma-informed care.
- Children (7 years and up) and Adolescents
- Willingness to offer therapy sessions during after-school hours.
- Ability to provide fact witness testimony in civil or criminal court proceedings (rare occasions).
