The Account Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving sales and marketing for supplier brands, including William Grant, Titos, and Brown-Foreman. This position requires effective planning, selling, merchandising, and communication to achieve company and supplier objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue Growth: Deliver on revenue and market share targets across assigned accounts, spending 80% of working time in the market.
- Beverage and Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement growth strategies for assigned categories or large suppliers, leveraging advanced knowledge and expertise.
- Trend Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date with category trends, research, and portfolio insights to ensure the company meets supplier goals.
- New Product Presentations: Showcase new products and beverage offerings, conducting monthly business reviews to drive growth.
- Category Awareness: Plan high-end consumer activations within key accounts to elevate category awareness based on customer needs.
- Market Insights: Drive real-time market insights to inform and accelerate growth, leading and organizing teams to achieve territory and category goals.
Collaboration and Training
- Creative Solutions: Collaborate with on-premise and retail sales teams to develop creative solutions, driving business and growth in assigned categories.
- Sales Trends: Develop and deliver training modules on sales trends, customer, and supplier education.
- Merchandising Objectives: Establish merchandising objectives relative to brand priorities, defining POS needs and increasing share and velocity of assigned categories.
Relationship Building
- Strong Relationships: Maintain and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and gatekeepers of assigned accounts.
Additional Responsibilities
- Supplier Calls: Participate in supplier and category-specific work-with sales calls.
- Industry Knowledge: Attend educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks to build and maintain specialized industry and/or commodity knowledge.
- Certifications: Obtain relevant certifications for assigned product or major supplier brand, becoming a market expert and resource.
- Customer Confidence: Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
