Overview
The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of Breakthru Maryland’s warehouse and office buildings.
Monday-Thursday 7pm to 5:30am
$20.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums the floors
- Empties trash and garbage containers.
- Sanitizes and disinfects
- Ensure bathrooms are clean and filled with paper products and soap
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent
- No prior experience required
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience maintaining cleanliness and order for a large business
- Knowledge of chemicals and supplies
- Ability to handle heavy equipment
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
- Stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities are required which include, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Communicate with others
- Handle materials/ supplies
Competencies:
- Accountable for meeting own targets, work is reviewed periodically.
- Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available.
