To succeed as a sales director, you should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience. You should have at least 7 years' experience in managing sales and sales management, advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs, and excellent verbal/written communication skills. You should also be able to multi-task, work independently or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines. Furthermore, you should have analytic and reporting skills, utilize sound judgment and problem-solving skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
