What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Respiratory Care Specialist position at Breath of Life Medical?
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist licensed in Texas and Oklahoma to join our team on a contract basis. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work with ventilator patients in their homes, providing quarterly visits, monitoring compliance, and respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct quarterly home visits for ventilator patients to ensure proper equipment function, compliance, and patient comfort.
· Provide respiratory assessments, troubleshooting, and education to patients and caregivers.
· Serve as a backup on-call respiratory therapist, available to respond to urgent needs as required.
· Provide after-hours or weekend home visits when needed (additional compensation provided).
Compensation:
· $80 per visit for in-home visits during business hours.
· $50 per week for on-call availability.
· $200 for home visits required after hours or on weekends.
Requirements:
· Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT). Texas and Oklahoma
· Prior experience with ventilator management and home care is preferred.
· Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
· Strong communication skills to interact with patients and their families.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
