General Summary
The Food & beverage associate works on a seasonal basis, preparing and selling food at concession stands. The individual must stock and shelve light inventory, operate a cash register, count cash, clean work areas, prepare and serve fast food items according to interactions, face to face with the general public as well as providing excellent customer service. In addition, a well-groomed sanitary presentation is required.
Requirements and Job Specifications
Education, Skills, Work Experience, Qualifications :
High School Graduate or equivalent; experience in fast food service, customer service, retail sales desirable. Minimal mathematical skill is required to count change perform addition, subtractions, multiplication, division with or without a calculator, balance cash, etc.
Functions and Duties
Essential Functions of the Job : This is a routine position in concession stands. Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Storing, taking inventory, stocking and selling food and non-food items.
Cleaning and sanitizing work areas : tables, chairs, countertops, storage areas and floors.
Preparing and serving food according to standardized practice, adhering to BREC sanitary standards and health and safety regulations.
Cleaning and maintaining work areas.
Operating electronic cash register, counting and remitting cash receipts, opening and locking up.
Mopping floor, unloading and shifting supplies.
The Food & Beverage associate must be able to follow routine food preparation and service procedures, and to carry out simple instruction from the supervisor.

Supplemental Information
As assigned, within general framework of 6-8 hours per day, 5-7 days per week during summer term; meal break as needed. The ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
