What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian (Zoo) position at BREC Recreation And Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge?
The Custodian performs general cleaning with particular attention to public areas – restrooms, sidewalks, education buildings; refuels and cleans vehicles as needed, replenishes supplies and picks up litter.
Education: No formal education required. Must read & write to receive work instructions.Valid LA driver's license.
Other: 1 year experience in manual labor & janitorial work; Knowledge of cleaning materials & equipment; Familiarity with operation & maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment; Ability to complete daily reports
- Cleans and stocks public areas, especially restrooms very frequently.
- Continually collects and disposes of litter.
- Cleans and stocks office building and outdoor facilities such as pavilion, amphitheater, otter cabin and education building.
- Fuels, washes and ensures inspection and maintenance of zoo vehicles as needed.
- Sets up and takes down equipment for special events.
