The After School Director works at BREC recreation sites, developing, promoting and operating the after school enrichment program, coordinating recreational activities, supervising afterschool counselors, actively participates in daily attendance records.

Education Required: H.S. DiplomaOther: Three years working with youth.Ability to plan and organize all aspects of afterschool;Physical ability to interact with children in recreational games setting for up to 2-3 hours a day;Knowledge of objectives and philosophy of afterschool program;Ability to work with youth, staff, parents, and general public; ability to motivate and encourage cooperation and teamwork;Ability to maintain accurate records and reports;Ability to adapt activities for children with disabilities so that inclusion (interaction with children with and without disabilities can participate together) can occur.Zoo/Biology/Zoology/Wildlife Management/Pre-VetHorse Activity Center - considerable horseback riding experienceMagnolia Mound - History/Archeology
