*The Dean of Leadership role is currently a one-year position; however, there is an opportunity for the role to extend beyond the first year. This role is currently fully funded through philanthropic support and will play a key role in launching a P-12 leadership program in collaboration with the Melrose and Peter Clark Centers.

Esssential Duties and Responsibilities
Located in the Melrose Center for Leadership and Equity, the Dean of Leadership will co-create and implement the Breck Leadership Program for grades P-12, promoting leadership development throughout the school community. This role includes serving as a faculty member for the Upper School and Middle School Leadership Program electives and working closely with faculty, staff, and the broader Breck community to design and deliver dynamic leadership content. This role will:

Co-create the Leadership Program curriculum P-12 with the Melrose Team

Promote leadership development among faculty and staff

Partner with each division to implement the Breck Leadership Program curriculum

Serve as 20% teaching faculty for Upper School and Middle School Leadership Program electives

Advise student leadership groups in each division, engaging students in meaningful leadership opportunities

Partner with the Melrose Team (Dean of Equity and Dean of Community Engagement) to coordinate and/or support faculty, staff, student, and parent programming
Requirements

Bachelors degree, Advanced degree preferred

5 years of P-12 teaching experience

Entrepreneurial spirit

Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, current student leadership trends, and research-informed practices

Experience in program development and co-design with students, faculty, and school leaders

Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
