What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at Breckenridge Distillery?
Summary of Duties:
Oversight of the day to day production operations at the Main Distillery and Continental Ct. locations. This includes bottling, shipping & receiving, maintenance and communicates with the distilling team to ensure that all materials, staff and equipment are in place and operational to support the master production schedule.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensures each work center has the appropriate staff on hand to support production demands and simultaneously lives within budget constraints. Shifts employees for headcounts needs. Plans attendance with all groups.
- Runs material checks up to two weeks out, to ensure raw materials can support the production schedule. Reports shortages to supply chain manager immediately.
- Verifies that stock transfers of raw materials and finished goods are on an appropriate schedule.
- Creates work instructions for each work center.
- Records daily bottling and shipping activity in ERP system accurately and timely. Helps investigate discrepancies and works with supply chain manager to solve any errors.
- Manages maintenance requests and works directly with maintenance team to ensure requests are prioritized and completed in a timely fashion.
- Performs regular cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods, including barrel/WIP inventories.
- Orders raw materials and shop supplies to support production schedule and any safety stock requirements.
- Performs barrel reconciliation and long term plan with Master Distiller quarterly.
- Calculates ROI analysis for capex projects
- Coordinates on site schedules with outside vendors like bottling line, insurance, electricians, etc
- Meets regularly with other on site departments to discuss schedule of events and needs
- Learns government tax reporting from supply chain manager
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s request.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP system exposure preferred
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Comfortable working with computer systems and heavy machinery
- Maintain a positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter and team player

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required. College degree preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in production or shipping environment
- Experience in planning/scheduling preferred
- Preference for any candidate that has experience in brewery or distillery operations
- At least 2 years of supervision/management preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and frequent use of hands
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours a day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
